MEMBERSHIP & CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

AAP began as a Focus Group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and is now an incorporated non-profit organization. AAP retains its own dues, which are separate from and in addition to any dues you may have to pay to ATHE. We hold our annual meetings at the ATHE conference and regularly co-sponsor conference events with other focus groups.

Here you may join AAP or renew your membership through PayPal. The "Add to Cart" buttons will send you to a secure PayPal site which will safely handle the entire transaction and will return you here once the transaction is complete.

Conference registration takes place annually in the summer, in advance of our August conference. Members may also join or renew membership when you register for the conference. Please check this year's conference event page for details!

Membership Cost

  • Standard Membership: $40

  • Student Membership: $25

  • Retiree Membership: $25

 

All memberships include a subscription to the Asian Theatre Journal, the AAP Newsletter, and a copy of our AAP Membership Directory. This money also helps to support AAP sponsored panels and workshops at the annual ATHE conference. Membership is for the calendar year, Jan. 1 - Dec. 31.

Renewing members: AAP's financial year begins on January 1st. In order to allow time to prepare the Asian Theatre Journal mailing for the University of Hawai'i Press, we ask that you renew your membership by December 20th of each year.

2021 Annual AAP Conference 

The 2021 Conference will take place online. 

All panel and workshop participants must be current AAP members. If you are NOT a current AAP member, please select the appropriate ticket option when registering and you will be directed to Paypal to complete you membership/renewal payment.
